Our TKJ Procurement Services Successes

Winning the 2016 CIPS Pan-African Procurement and Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year award was indeed a great honour for me as it signified formal recognition from industry peers for my work and contribution to furthering the business of procurement across the African continent.

Equally satisfying was my leadership of the team that won the 2016 CIPS Best Pan-African Procurement and Supply Consultancy Project of the Year. Six words best sum up this transformational initiative; they are “sustainable procurement excellence delivered at pace.” Project Ignite, as it we fondly referred to it, innovatively leveraged best practices, organisation-wide consultation, consultancy style approaches and engagements, thought leadership training, talent management and practical implementation approaches to deliver at pace across 16 African countries and in just 18 months, what was a spectacular set of results. 

WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY?

When Janine was appointed to lead Procurement across the 16 Standard Bank franchises outside of South Africa, she quickly came to terms with the state of Procurement in each of the legal entities, and partnered with the local Procurement leaders to craft a fit-for-purpose remediation programme and capability development programme that would satisfy both the local executive management’s requirements, as well as the minimum standards of the Standard Bank Group.
